Final Conference – Three4GlobalSkills
Mobilising Skills for a Just and Inclusive Europe
On 29 October 2026, three Horizon Europe projects — GS4S, Link4Skills and Skills4Justice — will come together in Brussels for a joint final conference addressing one of Europe’s most pressing policy challenges: how to respond effectively to skills shortages in a rapidly changing global and economic context.
This event brings together complementary strands of research on labour migration, skills development, and labour market transformation. Over the past three years, the three projects have generated extensive evidence on the drivers of skills gaps, the functioning of labour markets, and the role of migration in addressing structural shortages — both within the European Union and globally.
Why a Joint Conference?
By joining forces, GS4S, Link4Skills and Skills4Justice offer added value beyond individual project results:
A broader and more integrated evidence base, combining economic, social, and policy perspectives
A comparative international outlook, including insights from both EU and partner countries
A stronger foundation for actionable policy recommendations
The ability to connect research, policy, and practice across sectors
This collaboration reflects a shared objective: to contribute to fair, sustainable and evidence-based approaches to skills mobility and labour market governance.
What to Expect
The conference will present:
New research findings on skills shortages, skill mismatches and labour mobility
Insights into business strategies and labour market responses
Perspectives from countries of origin and destination
Lessons for the design of skills mobility and talent partnerships
Innovative tools, including the Link4Skills Navigator, supporting data-driven policymaking
Participation
The conference will take place in Brussels and will be live-streamed. Further information, including the full programme and registration details, will be published soon.
A Shared Contribution to Policy and Practice
The Three4GlobalSkills joint final conference is designed as a platform for translating research into practical direction — supporting policymakers, stakeholders and researchers in shaping the next phase of European and international cooperation on skills and migration.
